Lisa Schultz was officially hired as interim principal at M. Virginia Cunnigham Elementary School at last evening’s school committee meeting in Pawtucket. Mrs. Schultz has served as a facilitator in Pawtucket’s MTSS program at both Cunningham and Baldwin Elementary for the past two years.
Formally a music teacher in Johnston, Mrs. Schultz begins her third year in the Pawtucket School Department. Superintendent Patti DiCenzo says, “Lisa is well respected by the teachers and the students at Cunningham and has unofficially worked all summer in the role of a principal getting the school ready for the first day of school.”
“Thank you for the opportunity, I love Cunningham”, says Mrs. Schultz. “I plan to make Pawtucket proud.” The appointment carried with a unanimous vote.
