‘Pops in the Park’ at Slater Park on Sept. 12th.

The Pawtucket Arts Festival is in full swing!  On Saturday, September 12th, the “Pops in the Park” will take place at Slater Park.

The performance by the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra is being sponsored by our Pawtucket Teachers’ Alliance once again!  The orchestra is set to begin its performance  at 5:00 p.m..  However, I would advise everyone to come earlier as Room Full of Blues will be performing on the same stage starting at 3:00 p.m.! Bring a blanket or chair!

Fireworks will take place following the performance by the Philharmonic Orchestra!  Be sure to stop by our informational booth!

Slater Park will be filled with all types of artisans and food vendors being at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.  Personally, this event is similar to the Scituate Art Fair…without the traffic!  It is perfect opportunity for  gift shopping and tasting some wonderful foods from a variety of vendors and food trucks!

On Sunday, from 11:00-2:00 p.m., the Pawtucket Teachers’ Alliance will be sponsoring a Blood Drive once again.  The Bloodmobile will be located near the tennis courts.  Scholastic Book Company has donated 100 children’s books to distribute to blood donors.  Our sponsor number is 4028.  A donation of one pint helps at least three individuals!

Go to PawtucketArtsFestival.org to get a list of other scheduled events!

Your continued efforts and support are appreciated!  Best wishes for a productive and rewarding year!

Respectfully,
