SUMMER FOOD PROGRAM FEEDS KIDS FOR FREE

Pawtucket – With summer right around the corner, it’s time to think about keeping children healthy while school is out. The Pawtucket School Department provides free meals to children during the summer.

Meals will be served to the public to those children, 18 years of age or younger. No income requirements or pre-registration is required. For more information, contact Joshua Brochu at 401-305-6601.

Summer meals will be provided at the following sites on the listed days and times:

From July 1st through August 2nd, Monday through Friday from 8:30-9:00 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. -12:00 p.m. No meals will be served on July 4th and August 12th.

  • Flora Curtis Elementary – closed Fridays
  • Curvin McCabe Elementary
  • Francis Varieur Elementary
  • Elizabeth Baldwin Elementary
  • Agnes Little Elementary
  • Nathaniel Greene Elementary
  • Potter-Burns Elementary

From July 1st through August 2nd, Monday through Friday from 8:30-9:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. -12:15p.m.  No meals will be served on July 4th and August 12th.

  • William Tolman High School

Veteran’s Memorial Park Pool

  • June 24th -August 12th, Monday through Friday from 12:00-1:00 p.m. **No meals will be served on July 4th and August 12th.  Weather permitting & pending lifeguard availability. **

Pawtucket Library-

  • June 24th -August 23rd, Monday through Friday from 12:00-1:00 p.m. ** No meals will be served on July 4th and August 12th. **

Slater Park (in front of the Watercolor Society Museum)

  • July 1st – August 9th, Monday through Friday from 12:00-1:00 p.m. ** No meals will be served on July 4th and August 12th. Weather permitting. **

San Bento Playground

  • June 24th – August 2nd Monday & Wednesday ONLY from 5:00-8:00 p.m. ** No meals will be served on July 4th and August 12th. Weather permitting. **

Payne Park

  • June 25th – July 13th. Tuesday & Thursday ONLY from 4:00-5:00 p.m. **Weather permitting**

Galego Court Housing Complex-

  • June 24th – August 23rd, Monday through Friday from 8:00-9:00 a.m. and 12:00-1:00 p.m. **No meals will be served on July 4th and August 12th. **

Prospect Heights Housing Complex –

  • June 24th – August 23rd. Monday through Friday from 8:00-9:00 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. -12:30 p.m. **No meals will be served on July 4th and August 12th. **
